JUUL + FROST ARKITEKTER – 1998-99

Juul + Frost Architects were chosen to renovate and add a fellowship hall and library to a 1966 church on the outskirts of Copenhagen. Though initially tentative about a contemporary addition to their church, the clients quickly became devoted to the belief that this project needed to be an honest expression of contemporary tectonic integrity.

The lead designer, Flemming Frost, and I, worked in tandem to explore design opportunities in digital media. The final design is an exciting form that sits in dialogue with the existing church. The interior spaces are beautifully daylit and spatially intriguing. The clients were very happy with the results of this project.
