These are examples from a series of 1/4" scale model studies done by the EHDD design team. The one on the left is of the communicating stair which connects the upper two research lab floors of the building and is shaded with aluminum sunshading. The model on the right is a typical bay of the loggia with glass sunshades and trellis.
