Portland Residence
- Practice Fields Residential
2004
This young family in the suburbs of Portland chose to add a second-floor addition to supplement the increasing size of their family. We were determined to come up with a contextual dormer addition that felt spacious and modern inside. I developed a scheme that would pour light into a central stair with two bathrooms and two bedrooms spreading light throughout. Storage, light and views were critical.
The couple ended up selling the house before the renovation began. The new owners are hoping to move forward with the renovation eventually.
