A SPIRITUALLY-BASED COMMUNITY CENTER IN THE EAST VILLAGE

The 6' x 6' grey museum-board site model was built by the entire class. Each student chose their own spirituality and developed their own program. This photo shows my design.

My design intends to provide a contextually-responsive, yet contemporary response to the program. As one moves up in the section, the program retreats from the city to provide a safe haven for community members when they need a spiritual retreat.
